Our devotion today is one that comes from one of Carrie’s confirmation books. Below is a set of Scripture and questions that follow. It is laid out in a format of one per day, so I hope that each day this week you can read the scripture and reflect on it with the questions that follow.
Monday:
John 14:1-7 “You will be where I am”
Reflection Question: Do I have to go to the Lord, or does the Lord come to me?
Tuesday:
Matthew 28:16-20 “Go, then.”
Reflection Question: Have I, too, been sent?
Wednesday:
Romans 8:1-3 “Live in union with Christ Jesus.”
Reflection Question: If I am free in union with Jesus Christ, what do I have to be afraid of?
Thursday:
John 20:19-23 “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
Reflection Question: Is it had to feel forgiven even when it comes from God?
Friday:
John 16:19-33 “I have defeated the world.”
Reflection Question: Where does the freedom that Jesus gave me show up in my life?
Saturday:
2 Thess. 2:13-17 “God called you to this.”
Reflection Question: Am I truly saved? What is God still calling me to?
